Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of a business or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf, and “you” refers to that organisation.

Straep is a platform that lets businesses, creators, and professionals build a branded page, showcase products and services, receive customer inquiries, publish posts, and grow an audience. It also includes social discovery features, communities, a template marketplace, and paid subscription plans. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

Straep is a hosting and software platform. When you interact with a business, creator, or another user through the Service, any resulting transaction, agreement, or relationship is strictly between you and that other party. Straep is not a party to it and is not responsible for the goods, services, or conduct of any user.

You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly at support@straep.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account without our permission.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• break any law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• post content that is fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, hateful, harassing, obscene, or that impersonates another person or brand;
• sell or promote counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited goods or services;
• send spam or unsolicited messages, or scrape, harvest, or collect other users’ data without consent;
• upload malware, or attempt to breach, disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service or its security;
• circumvent plan limits, usage restrictions, or any access controls.

Straep runs automated and manual security measures. We may investigate suspected violations and remove content or restrict accounts that breach these Terms.

You keep ownership of the content you create or upload (your brand page, products, posts, images, and other materials). You grant Straep a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate, provide, and promote the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for content others have shared or copies kept as required by law or for backups.

You are solely responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to it. We do not endorse user content and may remove content that violates these Terms.

Some features require a paid subscription. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, Paystack; we do not store your full card details. By subscribing, you authorise us and Paystack to charge your chosen payment method for the plan you select, plus any applicable taxes.

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price until you cancel. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of price changes in advance. Fees are stated in Nigerian Naira unless otherwise shown.

You may cancel a paid plan at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods or unused features.

The template marketplace lets developers offer, and users purchase, page templates. Purchasing a template grants you a licence to use it on your own Straep brand page; it does not transfer ownership. Developers are responsible for the templates they publish and for the accuracy of what they describe. Revenue share, payouts, and related terms are set out when you join as a developer.

The Service itself — including our software, design, logo, and the “Straep” name — belongs to Straep and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly allowed.

The Service relies on third parties (for example Paystack for payments, and providers for image hosting, email, and infrastructure). Your use of those features may also be subject to the third party’s terms, and we are not responsible for their services.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we stop offering the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as content licences already granted, disclaimers, and liability limits) will continue to apply.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content is accurate or reliable.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Straep will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₦20,000. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold Straep harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You and Straep agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, for any dispute that cannot be resolved informally, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
